Game of the month: understanding language
The Game of the Month in August is created by two teachers in Turku, Finland. The challenges students to think about language from different viewpoints. How could you explain things without spoken words? What are the most spoken languages in the world?
Teachers Sanna Sova and Hanna-Maaria Linja-aho have created a Seppo game about understanding languages. The game is if Finnish and it has a fantastic variety of action based exercises! For example the students have to shoot a video trying to get different messages accross without using words. In another task they must come up with as many synonyms as possible for a single word.
They game is targeted for students aged 10 or older.
