Finnish EdTech Seppo.io and Helsinki Metropolitan Area Reuse Centre have joined forces in order to share high-class Finnish education and circular economy expertise with global audience.
In collaboration, the two expert organisations have designed a new concept to produce gamified educational digital content for schools, having their focus on sustainability and circular economy. Seppo and Reuse Centre not only turned educational materials into gamified form but also created tasks and exercises which foster learning and deepen students’ understanding on the essentially important themes of the 21st century.
In order to provide engaging, fun, and highly educational content for both teachers and students, the content was created by leveraging the high-class gamification expertise and 30 years of know-how in environmental education.
Via completely new gamified educational materials, Seppo.io and Reuse Centre bring the future of learning into schools around the world. Students and teachers are guided through some of the most important themes of our lifetime in a practical and engaging manner. Through game-play students learn the basics of circular economy, realize the environmental impacts of consumption, and explore ways to make a positive impact.
We have already produced content for the United Arab Emirates and Finland and proven that the concept can bring great learning results in different parts of the world. To respond to the increasing request of the material, the concept will be taken next to the South American markets.
Organisations like Bee’ah School of Environment in the UAE, and Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority HSY in Finland are sponsoring the content in their respective operation areas to provide schools a free access to the materials.
