1. Player code - How can players log with a player code?
Player code – How can players log with a player code?
A player code is used to resume a previous game session. After joining a game using a PIN, QR code, or game link, players will be prompted to create a player name to use during the game. Seppo then automatically generates a player code based on this name. The player code consists of the chosen name followed by a number sequence.
For example:
The player joins a game with PIN code: A8EFAC
The player enters a name: NewPlayer
Seppo generates the player code: NewPlayer4299
If a player completes part of a game during their first session and wants to continue later, they can resume using their player code. To do this, the player should visit Seppo’s login page at play.seppo.io and click the “Continue existing game” button. By entering their player code in the provided field and pressing “Start game”, they can pick up right where they left off.
2. How can I find or save my player code?
When players first enter a Seppo game, a modal pops up which showcases game and player information, including the player code. The code can be downloaded as an image to the player’s device by pressing the download button.
The player code can always be saved during the game by navigating to the player’s user menu. Click the user menu button on the right side of the top bar. A side panel opens up, showing the player’s information.
3. A player code has been forgotten and not saved to a device
If a player forgets to save their player code and is no longer logged into the game, they will need to contact the game’s instructor. The instructor can retrieve the player code from the list of players who have joined the game. This list is accessible by opening the game in edit mode and selecting the “Add people” section in the top-right corner of the screen.

Seppo stores a previous login session for up to 2 hours. If a player accidentally exits the game, they can easily return by re-entering the game’s PIN code or clicking the “Continue existing game” button in the login page. Seppo will prompt the player to resume their previous session. Alternatively, the player can choose to start a new session if desired.
