Player account login
1. What is a player account?
Before a player can login with a player account, it needs to be created by an instructor.
A player account is a personal Seppo account that enables a player to access all the games they’ve participated in and join new ones. Instructors can create player accounts to their Seppo license.
Once created, an email invitation is sent to the player with an activation link and login credentials. After creation, player accounts can be added to Seppo games. Upon logging in, players will see the games they’ve been added to. Additionally, players can join new games directly from their account page by entering a game PIN code.
All game sessions associated with a player account are saved, making it easy to return to previous games and join new ones. Player accounts are especially useful for managing large groups or recurring players who participate in multiple games.
2. How do I create player accounts?
To create player accounts:
Login as an instructor at play.seppo.io by clicking "Game master - Continue."
Navigate to “Settings - Organisation” page from the panel on the left of the screen.
Click the “View all” button at the “(Your licence name) + players” section.
Input an email address and a name for the player account.
Create and add a label/tag for the player account (optional).
Click “Create account” button.
An email invitation to the player account with login credentials has now been sent to the player. At the bottom of the screen, you can follow the status of your current player accounts and invitations.
Best practices and tips
Multiple player accounts can be created at once by importing them via an Excel spreadsheet. Simply click the “Create multiple accounts” button on the player account page, then follow the on-screen example to format your spreadsheet before importing the file. Assigning a tag to a group of players in the spreadsheet makes it easier to add them to a game later.
3. How do I add players to a game with player accounts?
To add players to a game with player accounts:
Open a game in edit mode.
Click open the “Add people” section from the top right corner.
Click the “Player account” button.
Search the players you want to add to the game. You can search by their name or their label/tag.
You can add players individually by tapping their player account in the “Search results” section. You can also add all of the player accounts that belong to the same tag by selecting the tag to be active from the “Active tags” section.
“Players to be added” section showcases all the player accounts that are about to be added to the game. Click the “Add players” button to add them.
How do players login with a player account?
Players need to activate their player account by clicking the link in their email invitations.
After activation the player can login with their login credentials.
As a player, go Seppo’s login page play.seppo.io.
Click the “Player account login” text.
Input login credentials found in the invitation email.
Click the “Login” button.
After logging in, players can view the games they’ve been added to or played in the past. They can also join new games by entering a game PIN code.
