Awarding badges
How does badge awarding work?
In games where badges are enabled and added in the Game settings, you can award them to players based on their performance. This can be done in the Play tab, within the evaluation view.
There are two ways to award badges in this section:
Instructor’s choice – Doesn’t require an answer to a task by the player
Evaluation – A badge can be included as part of the answer evaluation, alongside points and feedback
Instructor’s choice
Navigate to the Play > Players tab in the left-side panel.
Select an individual player to award a badge to.
In the middle panel, click the “Award badge” button.
Choose the badge you’d like to award to the player.
Click the “Award” button.
Note that badges already acquired by the player can be seen at the top of the panel.
Awarding a badge with evaluation
Navigate to the Play > Tasks tab in the left-side panel.
Select an individual task from the left-side panel.
In the middle panel, select a task.
In the evaluation panel, choose a badge to include with the evaluation.
Click “Evaluate” to award the badge along with the points and feedback.

Best practices and tips
Badges can also be awarded automatically from individual tasks if a player reached a specific points threshold. If you would like to learn more, read the Advanced task settings article of the Seppo Guide.
