April's Game of The Month teaches entrepreneurship skills
Spring is here! And so is the time for many students to make choices about their future. Seppo's April Game of The Month is Esa Rantamo’s Töölön Firmamiitti, in English Töölö’s Firm meeting.
This game introduces local companies in a specific area to students, and helps students understand more about entrepreneurship. In the game students search versatile information about different companies in the area, and grow their understanding about entrepreneurship, what kind of tasks are involved and what you have to study to learn these skills.
This game is a super example on how local businesses can collaborate with schools and how life after school is introduced in a very practical and interesting way. Töölön Firmamiitti has been played since 2017, and every year local companies, introduced in the game questions, take part and contribute their time and insight to help the students understand entrepreneurship. A truly inspirational game and concept. Big applauds to Esa for making this possible, and big applauds also to the companies involved.
The game can be found in Seppo library in Finnish, but here are some samples of the exercises in English. Feel free to steal the idea, and involve your local companies to collaborate!

Seppo's Game of The Month is not a game but a theme - Wildlife
Seppo’s Game Of The Month in July is not one game but several, two from Finland, one from Brazil and one from The UK. Well, actually, it could be even more than these.
Seppo's Game of The Month takes us Travelling
Travelling the world broadens the traveller’s view of the world and makes it easier to understand different cultures and viewpoints. Travelling, however, doesn’t necessarily require leaving your school. At least not, if you go Travelling with Linda Eilertsen’s game, which is our Game of The Month in June.
